Holiday Accelerator: Year 12 Extension 2 and Extension 1
For students who are currently in Year 11
Inside the Accelerator
How classes run
Our classes are high-intensity interactive learning sessions (NOT lectures). Students are expected to explain their reasoning and attempt the problems themselves first before they are explained on the whiteboard.
- Taught by expert mentors behind a 100% Band 6/E4 cohort and four NSW state ranks
- Highly rigorous and conceptual approach, focussed on understanding, proofs and the intuition behind every method
- Designed for exam performance, with the techniques that have taken our students to the highest E4 results and state ranks

Get a head start on the opening topic of Term 4
We fast-track the opening topic of Term 4 before your school touches it, in full depth with no prior knowledge assumed. If you’re in Year 12, Task 1 is less than half a term away and it is the first mark that counts towards your HSC.
- Extension 2: a first course in complex numbers The most assessed topic on the HSC Extension 2 paper and worth the most marks every year. Often, the hardest questions involve complex numbers. At almost every school, Task 1 is purely complex numbers.
- Extension 1: mathematical induction and integral calculus Calculus is 60% of the Year 12 Extension 1 course, with integration as the central skill. Integration is also a standalone topic in Extension 2. We go further than saying “it’s just the opposite of differentiation”. We open with mathematical induction which serves as the foundation for further calculus.
