Copyright and terms of use
General. The 2025 HSC Premiere Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2 examination papers and their solution guidelines, including every question, diagram, marking allocation, solution guideline, answer booklet and accompanying document, are original works of W² Education and are protected by copyright. All rights are reserved.
The papers were written for the 2025 HSC Premiere, and were sat under near-HSC exam conditions by students from schools across Sydney. W² Education publishes them so that students preparing for the HSC may work from papers of this standard, and so that school teachers have material of this quality available for their classes. The papers and their solution guidelines are provided here as a direct download so that any student or teacher can obtain a clean copy from the source without having to ask. By downloading or using any of these documents you accept the terms below.
Students. You may use the papers for your own study and HSC preparation, including keeping and printing copies for that purpose.
Schools and teachers. Schools and their teachers are welcome to use the papers for educational purposes, including as class work or revision material. W² Education asks only that the HSC Premiere be credited as the source wherever a paper or any part of it appears. Such use is not prohibited, and enquiries about the papers are welcome.
Student communities. Student-run study groups, school clubs and online communities that operate on a non-commercial basis may also use the papers and share them among their members for study purposes, on the same condition that the HSC Premiere be credited as the source. This permission does not extend to any group that charges for access, offers paid tutoring, or is run by or for a tutoring business.
Tutoring providers and commercial use. No part of either paper may be used by any tutoring business, coaching college, online education provider or member of their staff, whether in its original form or as the basis for other material. The papers may not be communicated or supplied to or within any such business, and they may not be used for any commercial purpose. No permission for these uses will be given.
Non-affiliation. The HSC Premiere is written and conducted by W² Education and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NSW Education Standards Authority.
Feedback. Examining is our craft, and we hold our papers to the standard of the HSC itself. We recognise that no paper is beyond improvement. If you find an error, disagree with a marking allocation, or think a question could be set better, write to hscpremiere@gmail.com. Corrections and constructive discussion from students and fellow educators and/or examiners are welcome, as is correspondence from anyone who values the standard at which mathematics is examined as highly as we do.
